On this page, I will keep an update of all the shows I have seen during 2024, in statistical and analysis form.
“The goal for the year is to attend forty-six unique and varied shows, with an approximate budget of £50 per show. This seems achievable.“
Well that was the target I set myself at the start of the year in 2024 – based on what I had spent in 2023 on less shows (and quite a few repeats) but also paying to stay in London on a couple of stays. The forty-six shows related to the year less the six weeks of annual leave that I should grant myself. The bigger problem is staying within the budget, as I do like to go to repeats of shows I’ve already seen, especially those I particularly enjoy.
Budget
The initial budget for the year was £2,400, however this has increased to £2,800 to enable some repeat visits to shows. As at August 2024, 19% of this budget remains unspent. There are two vouchers available to offset against the spend from two cancelled shows with ticket protection, plus so far two £10 vouchers earnt from Seatplan to date. I expect offers to be available in a second London Theatre Week which usually occurs in late August.
