Welcome to my new blog. It has taken me some time to get around to actually setting it up, but now I am here, live and up and running. I say it has taken me some time, I have had this domain for at least twenty-five years, always with the intent of setting something up, I just haven’t ever got around to doing so. The big question is what would I actually put here, and how many would come and view what I do in fact fill the internet with.
Having just had a couple of weeks off work and a much needed recharge of my batteries, I have taken some time to play around with the blog, come up with a logo and set the place into action. There isn’t much here right now, but I hope to find some time to get at least one or two updates each week going forward. They might be long, they might be short – they could just be what is on my mind.
To start with there are the overview pages with a little about me and my theatre goals for 2024. Not the most exciting pages but more will come over time. They are in a menu at the top of the page on a computer, slightly more hidden on a menu-bar on a phone (I will need to try and sort that out). I have set up a gallery section, but at present don’t have any pictures sorted to put up there – I will find one or two over the next few weeks. I’m not really photogenic and have spent most of my life avoiding being on camera!
What can you expect from me here? I will post lots of theatre reviews and thoughts for sure when I see new shows, I am no great literacy genius but I will try and put them down here, and why you should or should not see shows I have put myself through. I will also write stuff on books I have been reading, television shows I love, thoughts on Formula One and perhaps on some of my writing. Basically anything that is in my interests section.
I may also write some pieces on my mental health and struggles through anxiety. Even if no one ever comes to read my page or what I put here, it’ll be good to write it all down, feel free to skim over if it’s of no interest to you at all. Let me know what else you would like to see here.
